The National Council of Building Designer Certification is a designated body within the American Institute of Building Design, Inc., charged with governing the Institute's professional certification examination programs. The Board consists of three officers (NCBDC President, NCBDC Vice President, and NCBDC Secretary) and a minimum of six to a maximum of fifteen supporting council members. The members of the Council are elected annually for a term of one year. All members of the Council must be a Certified Professional Building Designer® and a member of the Institute. The Council meets electronically the first Monday of each month and gathers in person at the Council's Annual Meeting.
Join the Council
Applications to join the Council are always accepted and those who will serve for a one-year term are chosen at the Council's Annual Meeting, typically held in late Summer. To be considered, all applications must be received no later than June 30, each year.
