the Certification Process
Verify
Your Prerequisite Qualifications
-
Have
you been engaged in the professional practice of building design
for at least six (6) years, at no less than 20 hours per week?
-
Have
you accumulated industry-relevant educational credits? Such as
training or courses relating to architecture or structural
engineering in accredited universities, colleges, vocational or
correspondence schools, or employment and on-the-job training,
under the supervision of a Professional Building Designer,
architect or professional engineer.

an Appropriate Examination Date - Here
Compile
and Submit the Following:
- Three letters of
recommendation from a builder, building official, professional
building designer, architect or engineer.
- Download and fill out the CEU
Verification Form here.
- One set of separate working
drawings for three separate projects. These drawings must
meet the minimum plan standards
as established by the Council.
- Print and complete your
application. Mail the completed application form along with the
materials listed above on this page, and appropriate fees to the
NCBDC National Office.
